I just saw X3...

...and you didn't! ha!

standouts include:

-Storm doing things and having a personality (even if it's the wrong one).
- (I heart) Kitty Pryde.
- Crazy Phoenix.
- Any time Mystique shows up.
- Beast. Kelsey Grammar IS Beast.

I'll post more later.

[ music | Broken Social Scene - Our Faces Split the Coast in Half ]

Hmm, I should elaborate on the last entry.

The Big Day Out was great. The White Stripes were awesome (despite the almost dying standing at the front and stuff), as were Franz Ferdinand. Sarah Blasco was the real surprise, though. I've always liked her, but her Kate Bush-ish weird dance moves made me LOVE HER.

The new University year just started today. Since I've changed my degree, I'm now in some classes with the stupid, fresh out of highschool first years. It's not very pleasent, though I look forward to the highest marks in the class for doing a minimal amount of work.

Broken Social Scene on Thursday. Spiffy.

That is all. I can never seem to write much on these things. Still trying to get some sort of a message board sorted out, I can't think of a good name (I remembered "The Octopuss' Garden", but I don't really want to name it after a Beatles song) .

ALSO! we finally got a kitten(who is more of a cat now). Her name is Peach (after that wonderful cocktail of ladylike cliches, Princess Peach). She's apparently the most expensive breed of cat one can buy, and we got her for free! Thank god for awful grinches who leave helpless kittens in their rented houses.

I have 15 textbooks to buy this semester. That adds up to about $320.

;-;

But, on the bright side, I have bronchitis!

[ music | Emiliana Torrini - If You go Away ]

Briefly:

-I miss you all. Miss, as in miss conversing in other ways besides livejournal :|

-Chobits its a cute little series (with the requisite perverted untertones that are in most anime).

-Sin City was great.

-I'll take one last stab at writing you, Sara, I think I was using a different address in my previous letters so this one should (hopefully) be okay.

-Carrie, you posted about some Dior shoes a few weeks ago(or months?) and said you couldn't find many pictures. Go to style.com, it has all the major runways shows and detail shots from the past couple of years. Unfortunately men.style.com only has the past year and no detail shots (but then again i'm just babbling and you don't care about mens clothes~!).

- If you guys can, track down a copy of Big Train on dvd. It's this hilarious British sketch show. Speaking of good comedy shows, try and find Kath & Kim as well. I can't praise it enough, although I'm not sure American audiences will get it. It deals with a very specific party of Australian culture (but what's hilarious is that the characters on the show could pretty much actually exist here). It's huge in Britain so who knows. I'd like to know what you all think of it.

-Interpol concert this week, doves next week(although I'm much much more excited for doves) = yay

-Once again, love and miss you all. <3

here comes tomorrow [05 Jan 2005|07:23pm]
[ music | Rilo Kiley - Portions for Foxes ]

Hi kids, I'm home.

Let's see, Christmas was great, new years wasn't. Specifically, we missed the only band we went to see (Little Birdy) whilst beeing surrounded by cultureless morons. Our group split up close to twelve and I sat alone whilst Bria went to get everyone so we could all watch the fireworks together. The countdown came and I sat there alone on the grass. Funny thing was, it felt really good to be alone at that moment, just sitting there, ready to reset.

Perhaps I should bring that Greta Garbo avatar back.

[ music | Sex and the City: season 4 ]

-Okay, exams? over(my companions for the past few weeks have been Freud, Lacan and Kristeva).

-Costume party after last exam (I was Jack Sparrow, but I can't seem to log into either gblade or hypercryptic to upload pics). Few things can contest a costume party in the fun department, although there were way too many French whores (sorry, Moulin Rouge dancers) at this one. Emma's sister was a cool Wonder Woman and my cousin (the birthday girl) was a pornier version of nurse Elle Driver.

-Forget what I said before, email me at luck_lamp@yahoo.com.au if you need to (no one emails me anyway, but i'm there if you need me).

-my site is almost finished, but gunblade.nu exploded or something so I need some space somewhere(i'll be a good house guest, I promise).

-Puss in Boots is the best character ever.

-Sara is fantasticamazing, and needs to show signs of life asap.

-Apparently Gerald is my livejournal stalker.

-I saw this awesome Napoleon book I was going to buy for you, Carrie, but then I saw the price and calculated the shipping cost. You can have one of these, though: <3

-lj entry entirely in point form? priceless.

And I'm out(don't hurt yourselves, kids).
